Summer College Program in the Arts
We invite you to a five-week immersion studio workshop with students, faculty, and staff from the four schools of CADA: the School of Architecture, the School of Art and Art History, the School of Design and the School of Theatre and Music. Summer College offers our incoming first year students opportunities to engage in artistic activities including visual arts, music, theatre, design, and architecture – all before you start your first day of class.
June 22 - July 22, 2021
PROGRAM DAYS AND TIMES
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
This program will be offered virtually! More information will be provided soon.
WHO SHOULD REGISTER?
This program is open to admitted beginning freshmen students who will enter the College of Architecture, Design and the Arts in Fall 2021.
This experience will serve as a great introduction to UIC's art programs and will aid in your transition out of high school by exposing you to the higher levels of expectations held by universities. The specific course work and projects will enable you to gain an interdisciplinary overview of the professional and educational career opportunities in architecture, design, visual and performing arts. In addition, you will have the opportunity to meet and build relationships with other incoming freshmen.
Time: 12:15 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.
To register: login to my.uic.edu, click on UIC Connect and scroll down to Summer College.
