Summer College Program in the Arts

Introduction

We invite you to a five-week immersion studio workshop with students, faculty, and staff from the four schools of CADA: the School of Architecture, the School of Art and Art History, the School of Design and the School of Theatre and Music. Summer College offers our incoming first-year students opportunities to engage in artistic activities including visual arts, music, theatre, design, and architecture – all before you start your first day of class. The summer program includes a Chicago River Architecture Cruise and culminates in a Final Exhibition of students' work.

Time: 9:00 am-12:00 pm

WHO SHOULD REGISTER?

This program is open to admitted beginning first-year students who will enter the College of Architecture, Design and the Arts (including CS+DES students) in Fall 2026.

Students will receive information by UIC email about where to report on the first day.
