Meet and Greet and Conversations with UIC Language Students at the Language and Culture Learning Center

What language are you excited about? You have 14 options at UIC: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish. Follow your interest, connect with your heritage, or be unique!

Language Meet Ups Grant Hall 308, Monday and Wednesday 12-2 pm

During Summer College, you can meet UIC language students and find out more about doing well in any language at the college level. Every Monday and Wednesday, 12:00-2:00, join us in Grant Hall 308.

UIC Language Students will lead conversations (in English) about music, Insta influencers, movies, and more in the language they are taking. They’ll also tell you what it’s like to start a language at UIC and share some insider tips for success.  And free popcorn!

What language to take?? Already placed into 101? Make a fresh start with a new language you’re curious about.

Don’t have a language requirement? Try a language for elective credits and fun!

Bio major?  First at LAS? Commuter?  Pre-med? Computer Science? English major? Engineering?  Any language you choose will help you succeed at UIC and become a stronger job candidate in your career.
