Applied Health Sciences: Summer Exploration and Transition Institute

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Applied Health Sciences: Summer Exploration and Transition (AHS:SET) is a multidisciplinary community of health scholars, educators and advocates who contribute to the health and well-being of people- you are now a part of this community! Build connections with peers, faculty and college professionals in a fun and approachable way.  Through team building and academic related topics, you will join a group to explore foundational topics in the health sciences.  Activate your collegiate thinking and get to know your supportive faculty and staff before you walk in on your first day of class this fall.  More than anything, get excited about being an Applied Health Science (AHS) student and UIC!

Participant goals:
1. Build a network and connection with peers, upper-class students, faculty and professional staff within the College of Applied Health Sciences (AHS).
2. Learn about the foundational topics and threads in the curriculum that will make you a better student.

Two Days: July 25th and July 26th, 2019

WHO SHOULD REGISTER?

The program is limited to first-year students who have been admitted to the College of Applied Health Sciences.
