Applied Health Sciences: Summer Exploration and Transition Institute

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The College of Applied Health Sciences is a multidisciplinary community of health scholars, educators and advocates who contribute to the health and well-being of people- you are now a part of this community!

In AHS:SET you will build connections with peers, faculty and college professionals in a fun and approachable way. Through team building and academic related topics, you will join a group to explore foundational topics in the health sciences. Activate your collegiate thinking and get to know your supportive faculty and staff before you walk in on your first day of class this fall. More than anything, get excited about being an Applied Health Science (AHS) student and UIC.

Goals:
• To build community within the College of Applied Health Sciences.
• To understand the application of each discipline within AHS
• To connect with other incoming students with similar interests
• To help ease the transition to college life at UIC

Students are welcomed and encouraged to register for all programs sessions that are of interest to them!
