Summer Enrichment Physics Workshop

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Preparatory Physics is a condensed version of the class PHYS 100 offered during the regular term. It teaches students the problem-solving techniques and analytical skills they will need to succeed in PHYS 141, as well as future physics and engineering courses. The content covered includes essential subjects of kinematics, vectors, and forces – topics which students will use again and again throughout many of their physics and engineering classes at UIC.

PROGRAM DAYS AND TIMES

Monday and Wednesday
2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

 

FIRST DAY

On the first day of workshop, please check in at the Writing Center on the first floor of Grant Hall, located at 703 S. Morgan, thirty minutes before your scheduled class time. We will have signs posted to help you find Grant Hall. At the Writing Center, we will introduce you to your instructor, help you find your classroom, and give you your course materials. Be sure to bring a notebook and pen.

 

WHO SHOULD REGISTER?

Students who have not passed the placement exam to enter PHYS 141, as well as any student who passed the placement exam, but would like to be better prepared to take PHYS 141.
